ASTM 430 / EN 1.4016 is a classic ferritic stainless steel grade with 16% chromium content. As a widely used non-austenitic stainless steel, it provides good atmospheric corrosion resistance and high surface gloss after polishing. Compared with 304, grade 430 features lower cost, stable magnetic property and excellent machining performance.
This stainless steel grade shows outstanding heat resistance and oxidation resistance under normal temperature and medium-high temperature conditions. It is easy to bend, stamp, cut and polish, making it highly suitable for surface decorative applications. With stable mechanical properties and good wear resistance, it meets most indoor and mild outdoor working requirements.
Common product forms include sheet, plate, coil, round bar and flat bar with multiple surface finishes such as 2B, BA and brushed finish.
