UNS S31050 / EN 1.4466 (310MoLN) is a high-performance nitrogen-strengthened austenitic stainless steel specially developed for the urea industry. Featuring ultra-high chromium, nickel and molybdenum composition, this grade achieves a high PREN value, effectively resisting intergranular corrosion, pitting and crevice corrosion in high-pressure and high-temperature urea carbamate media.
Compared with conventional 316L and 904L stainless steel, 1.4466 steel exhibits far superior stability in concentrated nitric acid and ammonium carbamate environments. It avoids carbide precipitation during welding and high-temperature operation, maintaining stable mechanical strength and excellent structural integrity. The material offers reliable weldability and processability for cutting, bending and forging.
